How to download my Instagram video without watermark: if the clip is still in your camera roll or your editing app, use that file to repost elsewhere. If that copy is gone, paste your public Reel link in the box above and save the MP4. Nothing is drawn on the picture.

Use the file you filmed

The simplest route, when you still have the original, is the file in your camera roll or your editing app.

  • Repost that clip elsewhere. It is the video you made, still on your phone.
  • If the project is still in your editing app, export it again from there.

What Instagram's Download does

According to Instagram's help pages:

• You can save your own Reel via Sharing options › Download. The pages don't say whether that copy has a watermark.
  • On the page about other people downloading your reels: "Downloaded reels will include an Instagram watermark, your username and audio attribution."
  • The download isn't available on computers.
  • On a public account, anyone can download your reels unless you turn it off. The switch is Allow people to download your reels, under More options when you post.
  • On a private account, nobody can.
  • Downloaded reels aren't allowed to be used for commercial purposes.

Paste your public Reel link

Once the original is gone, paste your public Reel link in the box above.

  • Use a public instagram.com link with /reel/, /reels/, /p/, or /tv/ in the path, including /username/reel/…. A /share/ short link is rejected.
  • Private accounts, age-restricted posts, and Stories are not supported. This page never asks for an Instagram login.
  • A carousel returns the first video only. A photo-only post fails, because there is no video to save.
  • A typical Reel is a 720×1280 MP4, picture and sound joined, with nothing re-compressed, upscaled, or drawn on the picture. Length is capped at 30 minutes.
  • You get 2 free downloads every 24 hours per IP on a rolling window, with no sign-in. Google sign-in is unlimited and free, and it lasts 30 days.
  • The temporary file is deleted right after it is sent. The link you paste is not logged.

For the soundtrack only, switch to MP3 at 192 kbps — Instagram video to MP3. The browser saves the MP4 to its Downloads folder, and on iPhone, Safari puts it in the Files app › Downloads (Save Instagram video to iPhone); phone and computer steps are in how to download an Instagram video without a watermark, and that watermark quote is explained in why Instagram downloads have a watermark.

If your account is private

This tool can't fetch a private Reel, so use the original in your camera roll or export your information. According to Instagram's help pages:

  • Export your information is at Accounts Center › Your information and permissions. It lets you export your data to a device with a chosen media quality. The link can take up to 30 days, and it is downloadable for 4 days.
  • Save original photos is at Settings › Your app and media › Archiving and downloading. It saves every photo you post to your phone's library. Only photos are mentioned, not videos.
