How to download Instagram video without watermark: paste a public Reel or post link into the box above and save the MP4. The same steps work on an iPhone, an Android phone, and a computer. This page adds no watermark or username. You get 2 free downloads every 24 hours without signing in; a free Google sign-in removes that limit.
On a phone
On a phone, copy the link in the Instagram app, then paste it into the box on this page.
iPhone, in Safari
- Open the Reel or video post. Tap the paper-plane icon (or the ⋯ menu), then Copy link.
- Open this page in Safari. Tap Paste, keep MP4 video (HD) selected, and tap Download MP4.
- The MP4 goes to the Files app, in Downloads, not straight into Photos. Moving it into the gallery, and what to do when Save Video is missing, is covered in Save Instagram video to iPhone.
Android, in Chrome
- Copy the link the same way: tap the paper-plane icon, then Copy link.
- Open this page in Chrome. Tap Paste, keep MP4 video (HD) selected, and tap Download MP4.
- Chrome saves the file to Downloads.
The browser starts the save on its own. If it does not, tap the Download button that appears once the file is ready.
On a computer
On a computer, copy the post address from the browser bar and paste it into the same box. Instagram's own download option isn't available on computers, according to its help page.
- Open the public Reel or video post. Copy the address from the browser bar.
- Paste it above. Keep MP4 video (HD) selected and click Download MP4.
- The browser saves the MP4 to its Downloads folder and starts the save on its own.
A public Reel you posted yourself works the same way. The box on this page is the Instagram video downloader from the home page.
Which link to paste
Only a public video link is accepted: instagram.com with /reel/, /reels/, /p/, or /tv/ in the path, including instagram.com/username/reel/…. A /share/ short link is rejected. Open the post and copy the full address.
A carousel gives you the first video only. Reel link shapes are on Instagram Reels download without watermark.
Why this file has no watermark
Instagram's help page says downloaded reels will include an Instagram watermark, your username and audio attribution.
This page does not add that stamp. It saves the best H.264 MP4 Instagram serves for the post and packages it without drawing a logo or username on the picture. Nothing is re-compressed, enlarged, cropped or blurred.
A typical Reel comes out at 720×1280. Some newer Reels can come out lower than their sharpest version, because one video format (VP9) is skipped. The picture and the sound end up in the same MP4; if the Reel is silent, the file has no audio. More on the stamp is in why Instagram downloads have a watermark.
If the download doesn't work
- Bad link, including
/share/. Only a full Reel, post, or IGTV address is accepted. Open the post and copy that link. - Private, age-restricted, or a Story. Those are refused, and this page never asks for an Instagram login. Use a public Reel or video post.
- Longer than 30 minutes. The video is over the length limit. Pick a shorter one.
- Free limit used. Your 2 free downloads every 24 hours are used up. Sign in with Google to continue; it stays free.
- Photos only. The post has no video to save. Choose a post that contains a video.
- Too many requests, or Instagram is slow. Wait a minute, then paste the same link again.
